I went through a phase where I became so panicked at the thought of dying in a plane crash that I would sit in my seat with eyes squenched shut, tears pouring out the sides, close to hysteria. But somehow, amazingly, I began traveling to Iceland with my lover - and all the fear just got lost in the exuberance of anticipating the destination.
